so here i was, walking west from my castle, and behold! a group of orcs and a dragon on a mountain. i was all excited and sent 4 heros loaded with units toward it. ran out of AP half way there so i had to wait a day. I woke up next day and went back to trying to kill it. but the group vanished..... so does the dragons and orcs hops from mountain to mountain randomly? if so, is there a possibility that it will hop on the the mountain right next to my city?

Dragons only appear if there's a full 4 cell mountain and no cities in a 5 cell range. That is usually quite a random factor. Dragons are powerful magical creatures and cant be killled with a handful of soldiers. The key to killing them is understanding the nature of its attack and ... a good sword, magic defense and smart reinforcement.

Do dragons respawn in different locations at the end of the week?

So wait, what if there are no left areas without player cities (mountains are a juicy target for settlements)? Nodragons even if they were not killed? How about allowing them to spawn in deep forests too (at least one-two tiles of trees ine ach direction). Or even better, split dragons to red (mountain) and green (forest) ones.

I cant really imagine good fantasy games without dragons to hunt! 8-)

Yes.

Correct. That should be a reason to start a war with another clan. "You don't let the dragons spawn!" :D

My son also plays this game & he had 2 DRAGONS spawn very near his cities in the past 2 weeks.

He knew better than to send troops after them because they would have died needlessly.

I would like some more information on how to attack & defeat a Dragon... just in case 1 spawns near me!!!

Would a tower (machine or clan) block them from spawning if on/too close to the mountains?
